Six PLC groups for a paint shop conveyor line
We are developing the documentation for six PLC groups, phasing the work around the availability of input data and the client’s successive updates.

Project goal
The scope covers electrical schematics for six PLC groups, thermal and load calculations, the I/O map and the network device list.
Project timeline
The stages in the order the scope was delivered.
- 01 / Stage
System layouts
We created the layouts of the designed systems in EPLAN Electric P8 2024.
- 02 / Stage
Load calculations
We calculated the current loads for the 400 V AC and 24 V DC networks.
- 03 / Stage
PLC group schematics
We are producing the schematics in the Integra 7.1 standard, returning to tasks once the client completes the input data.
- 04 / Stage
Thermal calculations
We calculate the heat balance of the control cabinets in Rittal Therm once their designs are complete.
- 05 / Stage
Review
Every package goes through internal review before it is handed to the client.
Challenge
Some of the input data arrives in stages. We keep a list of blockers and return to individual tasks once the information is complete, instead of closing the documentation on unconfirmed assumptions.
Status
The project builds on our earlier scope in the Integra 7.0 standard. That lets us assess data faster and keep a common structure across the PLC groups.
