Documentation for seven automotive stations
We produced the electrical schematics for seven stations, together with network, load and thermal documentation and a safety assessment.

Project goal
We prepared complete electrical documentation for seven stations of an industrial line. Every station needed a consistent set of schematics, calculations and data for the teams working after us.
Project timeline
The stages in the order the scope was delivered.
- 01 / Stage
Base project
We set up the project in EPLAN Electric P8 2023 from the client’s base project, in the end client’s standard and with its device macros.
- 02 / Stage
Input data
We transferred devices and connections into the schematic from the station parts lists, the safety control concept and the approved parts list.
- 03 / Stage
Station schematics
We produced cabinet wiring, mounting layouts, field devices, construction plans, network topology, integration of the pneumatic schematics, and cable and terminal lists.
- 04 / Stage
Calculations
We calculated 400 V and 24 V network loads to size the protection, and the heat balance of every cabinet to size the cooling.
- 05 / Stage
Addressing in SAS
We assigned network and PLC addresses to the devices. The PLC programmers later worked from the file we prepared.
- 06 / Stage
Lists and safety
We checked the device list against the approved parts list and assessed each station’s safety level to ISO 13849-1 in SISTEMA.
Challenge
Input data was updated regularly, and a change to one device affected the schematic, addressing, bill of materials and safety documentation at once. We kept the whole package consistent through every iteration.
Result
We delivered documentation for all seven stations with the required supporting deliverables. Concept changes were carried through the whole package, so downstream teams always worked from consistent data.
